Project Timeframe: 2014-2015

University of California, Irvine (UCI) awarded a contract to Triad Consulting & System Design Group (Triad Consulting) to provide security consulting services for security master plan (SMP) development for the public research university with 29,000 students, over 200 buildings and a 1,525-acre campus.

Project elements include the assessment of existing security system hardware, including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion alarm; analysis of potential threats and vulnerabilities; campus and facility needs analysis; development of a gap analysis to chart campus practices vs. best practices; and development of a complete security plan with prioritized recommendations and associated costs. Triad Consulting is actively working with campus stakeholders such as campus police, information technology (IT), facilities management, student affairs and medical center police.
