Consultant

Overview:

Successful candidates will have substantial experience within the industry as a Security Consultant or Security Management Practitioner for critical infrastructure clientele, engineering firms or system integrators. They will also be entrepreneurial, team oriented and performance focused.  They will have developed a reputation with clients as a strong contributor with high integrity and professionalism.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with clients and internal project team members to conduct assessments (security, threat, vulnerability, risk)

  • Perform needs analysis/gap analysis

  • Work closely with project system engineers in developing project requirements

  • Review and recommend operation security improvements

  • Create comprehensive yet concise security master plan reports

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Security Management degree is desirable)

  • 10+ years of experience in a security consultant or security management position

  • Certifications a plus (CPP, CSC, PSP, CISM)

  • Experience with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.)

  • Strong written and verbal skills

  • Ability to communicate plans or speak on security related topics to groups

  • Ability to creatively provide physical, operational, or technological security solutions to difficult problems of diverse scope

  • Ability to work independently or with cross functional teams as required

  • Detail oriented

Systems Designer/Engineer

Overview:

Successful candidates will have experience within the industry as a Systems Designer/Engineer for engineering firms or system integrators. They will also be team oriented and performance focused.  They will understand and be able to deliver high quality product on time and on budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with clients and internal project team members to develop concept of operations and design guidelines

  • Layout system and/or network designs

  • Develop project technical specifications and drawings

  • Provide cost estimations

  • Review submittals and shop drawings

  • Provide construction administration of site contractors or integrators

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Computer Science (additional experience maybe considered in lieu of education)

  • 3-5+ years of experience designing and implementing large scale electronic security, fire alarm, communications, audio/visual or network systems for commercial, industrial, or critical infrastructure sectors

  • Certifications a plus (PSP, RCDD, NICET)

  • Experience with Autodesk AutoCAD software (BIM 3D software a plus)

  • Experience with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.)

  • Strong written and verbal skills

  • Ability to communicate technical topics to project team members or clients

  • Ability to work on projects with diverse system design requirements

  • Ability to work independently or with cross functional teams as required

  • Detail oriented

Marketing Coordinator

Overview:

The marketing coordinator will provide marketing and general office support to the firm’s principal management team. Successful candidates will have prior marketing experience in the A/E environment. They will be creative, team oriented, and able to meet strict proposal deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with staff and clients to develop professional-level, well written marketing materials including competitive proposals (both unsolicited and in response to RFPs), SOQ’s, presentations and other proposal/project related information.

  • Offers guidance for organization of the proposal/presentation document.

  • Coordinates inputs and review drafts of proposals and presentations.

  • Assists in preparing non-technical portions of proposals and presentations.

  • Coordinates and assists with compiling resumes, project experience, photos, graphics, etc.

  • Performs proofing, editing, and quality assurance of proposals and presentations.

  • Networks/contacts with client Marketing Coordinators

  • Attends and participate in SMPS functions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field is desirable

  • 2-4 years of solid work experience and understand proposal preparation and marketing activities for the A/E/C industry

  • Strong writing, editing, design, presentation and business development skills are required, along with a demonstrated ability to organize proposal efforts and work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, InDesign, Illustrator, PageMaker, Photoshop, and web software.

  • Strong organizational skills required.

  • Excellent time management and project prioritization

  • Position is Southern California based
